Each week, we dive into two hours of live music — nothing pre‑recorded, nothing polished, just the real thing.

Concert cuts, radio sessions, TV appearances, studio outtakes… if it happened live, it belongs here.

This show is all about recreating that concert feeling.

Some weeks we’ll follow a theme. Other weeks we’ll wander wherever the music leads. You might hear a full gig start to finish, a rare performance you’ve never come across, or a song that hits you with a memory you didn’t know you’d forgotten.

I can’t sing, dance or play a single instrument — but I love music, and I love sharing it.

So settle in, tune up your ears, and let’s step into the room where the music is happening right now.

From the moment you realised how music made you feel !!! Until the moment you stepped on a stage.

I was 14 when I joined my first band 1974, What a time for music that was.
My first rehearsal was in a scout hall with the band and a couple of friends. My last rock show was in front of 1,100 screaming Electric Mary fans.

That Journey went quicker than expected, but it allowed me to meet great people, support some of my rock and roll heroes, and play shows in places I could only have dreamt of.

In the late 70's i stepped on the same stage as Redhouse, The Angels & INXS

In the 80's it was Midnight oil, Matt Finish, Tina Turner, The Eurythmics [not a great memory] The Motels, Julian Lennon, The late great Brodrick Smith [another not so good memory] and the Magnificent Whispering jack, John Farnham. Which also didn't end up too well for me and my big mouth.

I believe I was the first unsigned act on Countdown in the 80's which also ended with me turning down an offer to live in America for a year on a development deal through the label WEA.

I definitely lost my way in the late 80's playing in a covers band with friends, But i continued to write but for reasons unknown.

Most of the early 90's were spent playing covers where I joined back up with an old school buddy Shaun Gardiner.
Our idea was to do covers and earn money to pay for our original music ambitions, and it was working a treat for us.

Unfortunately I couldn't shake the feeling that singing Kurt Cobain and Bon Jovi was going to satisfy me, so we decided to part ways and suddenly I was poor again.

1996 was a new beginning for me and the next 30 years was where everything that I'd ever dreamt of started happening for me.
I shared the stage with the best of the best: Crowded House, Whitesnake, Deep Purple, Cheap Trick, Judas Priest, Glenn Hughes, Ritchie Kotzen, Mike Tramp, Alice Cooper, Def Leppard, Live, STP, Bush, Rose Tattoo

Very good People entered my life from very strange places and allowed me to DREAM BIG

An unauthorised terrestrial broadcast known as THE WEDGE has once again been detected emanating from the Eltham sector.

For approximately one hour, the human identifying himself only as “DJ Wedge” will transmit dangerously high concentrations of funk, soul, techno, protest folk and unregulated international music.

These frequencies have been shown to:

disrupt the 3D illusion
temporarily open the third eye
confuse recommendation algorithms
encourage independent musical discovery
and, most seriously, reduce local loosh yields

Particular caution is advised during the segment humans call “The Ear Gym.”

Previous exposure has resulted in involuntary dancing, pursed lips, expanded consciousness and, in one documented case, a middle-aged father purchasing vintage Adidas online.

Do not attempt to engage.

Do not listen.

DO NOT GIVE YOUR ALGORITHM THE NIGHT OFF.

THE WEDGE.

An ongoing threat to reptilian productivity.

Each program will have a specific theme. The theme will generally change week-on-week.

It may relate to the song title, song style, the artists name or even head off on strange tangents.

The theme may go over successive weeks if there's too!) many songs to squeeze into a 2 hour block.

The majority of the songs will be from last century. There will be a mixture of:

Hits
Songs you wont have heard for a while on the radio
Songs that, if you blinked, you might have missed

I play an eclectic mix of modern (last 80 years) music from a wide range of popular genres (hip hop, blues, pop, rock, punk, electronic, dance, world, etc.) It features songs that are relative, such as local Melbourne artists, touring acts, significant deaths, birthdays, anniversaries, etc. Mostly music and short discussions and explanations for the playlist.

For example, I might play a Grace Jones' or Black Crowes' song, as they are touring. It features new releases that I like. Bands that are playing in town on the weekend.

Mirrorball Club Radio is a celebration of the timeless energy of disco and the underground soul of house music. Each episode takes listeners on a journey through uplifting grooves, soulful vocals, deep rhythms, and dancefloor classics, alongside the new edits from today's global scene. Inspired by the magic of the Mirrorball and the connection music creates, the show is all about bringing people together through feel-good sounds.

Mirrorball Club Radio delivers the soundtrack for those who live and breathe house and disco.

The Departure Lounge.

For three hours each week, consider this your gate out of wherever you've been and into wherever the music wants to take you. You will hear leftfield electronica, downtempo beats, trip hop and random quirks along the way.

There's a reason humans have always gathered around rhythm: it lowers stress, lifts mood, and connects us to each other in ways words alone can't. Dance music, in particular, has this strange gift of turning a room full of strangers into something like a temporary family — moving together, breathing together, feeling a little lighter by the end of it.

So wherever you're listening from — driving, cooking, dancing alone in your kitchen — take these three hours as permission to unplug from your day. Let the music do what it's always done best: make us feel more human, together.

I have been an Elvis fan since I was 12 years old in 1960. I was the secretary for the Elvis Fan Club of Victoria from 1964 to 1976, and saw Elvis live on stage in November 1976.

I have all his movies on DVD as well as numerous documentaries and stage shows, hundreds of vinyl records and CDs, and over 250 books about Elvis.

My plan is to present a different aspect of Elvis’s music on each program and talk about the background to that genre. Elvis recorded nearly 500 songs over his 22 year career so there is enough material to keep me on air for a considerable time!

Five Elements of Sound is a radio program inspired by Earth, Water, Fire, Air and Spirit. Each element brings its own feeling: roots, emotion, energy, freedom and connection. Together, they shape a musical journey that flows through different moods, cultures and moments. The program is about more than playing songs; it is about creating a space where people can feel, remember, move and reconnect. At its heart is the belief that music can travel beyond words, bring distant memories closer and keep invisible bonds alive. Five Elements of Sound invites listeners to slow down, open up and follow where the music leads.
